Hudson Valley Engagement Photographers take on the Union Station Shot
First off if you’re looking for an engagement photographer take a look at my [engagement photography portfolio](http://www.davebrownphotography.com/Hudson Valley-Engagement-Photographer.aspx).
I know, I know, I’m sure everyone is really tired of seeing more shots from this engagement session, but here’s the deal. I am really trying to work on my SEO for my site which means that I need to be adding lots of content that has the kind of stuff I want people to be looking for. Right now I’m optimizing for Hudson Valley Engagement Photographer. I would really like to become a specialist in this, because I really enjoy taking these kinds of pictures. It’s fun for me to see people who are really in love, loving life, and havi
ng a blast. So for the time being you’re going to have to listen to more of this kind of stuff until I can find a better way to optimize my website for engagement photography.
Obviously I’m still going to try and give a breakdown as to what I did to this shot, so that you guys don’t get too bored. I also really love that I changed the theme of my blog. It allows me to post much larger photographs and worry less about how they look online when they are all small and puny. I like it so much better now that people can see my work with a lot less clutter around it. Although I will say that almost all of my work seems to look better on black, but you can’t win them all I guess. I think the cleanliness of the theme adds a professionalism that I was looking for. Be sure to let me know your thoughts on what you think of the new theme.
Here are the steps I took to get this shot:
- First boosted saturation, clarity, and vibrance in lightroom to make the whole image seem a bit crisper
- Then I worked on getting all the skin tones just right.
- Then I brought it into photoshop
- I took and created a new duplicate layer set to overlay mode.
- Masked out the couple, because overlay makes skin look horrible
- Then I added a gradient fill layer and changed the blending mode for that cross processed look.
- I’m not going to tell you the gradient that I used because A. I don’t want to give out all my secrets, and B. You should experiment and find something that works for you.
Hope ya like it.
