Engagement Photographer in Hudson Valley { Kelly and Ben }
Who’s wicked behind on posts and has 2 thumbs…. this guy. I’m super sorry for anyone who tries to keep up with my blog on a regular basis, it’s just been so busy lately. I’m getting ready for my own wedding if you didn’t know. Which is a whole stressful world on it’s own, and I’m trying to stay on top of my photography. Oh and I guess keep my day job. Juggling these 3 things has become a bit overwhelming, and if something’s going to suffer it’s going to be my blog. Because while it might help me bring more clients in, I’m sure my clients would rather me spend time working on their CD’s than write a post about their shoot. So this post is going to be quick.
The
se shots are from a month or so ago, but yes I’m just now getting around to writing something up. Say hello to Kelly and Ben, cute couple. Great people. Tons of fun to go on a shoot with. And some of their shots from the end of the day are my favorite ever of Union station. I don’t know why but the light was just perfect on this day and made it totally fun to take a bunch of pictures here. We actually started at the Gin mill, which I’ve never really shot before, but it was fun to get out and do something different, so I was on a totally different side of downtown than I normally shoot, so that was cool. It’s always nice for me to get away from some of my standard shots and try new things. I’m always surprised with the results, and I have a lot more fun working on them in post production.
As you can see Kelly had some killer eyes that were a ton of fun to shoot. All that color just came popping out when I went into post on these shots.
Another interesting thing is that I shot almost this whole shoot with a bit of flash for some fill. I did that on nearly all my shots for this shoot, and I really liked the way it turned out. I can tell I’m getting better and better ever day at really sculpting the light I throw on people. It’s fun to look at shots that I never would have touched before with a new found confidence that I can nail them with the right off camera or on camera lighting.
Anyways I hope you guys like them.
