Fashion Photographer in Hudson Valleyl Luccia Portfolio Session
Well if you guys can’t tell, I’m really into my fashion photography lately. I’ve been putting a ton of effort into both learning and growing as an artist. For those of you who don’t know, when I got into photography this was what I aspired to do. And while it probably won’t ever pay the bills, it will remain to be a part of my artistic being. I can’t tell you how giddy and excited I get by this style of portrait work.
I say portrait work because to me, I’m so interested in capturing an emotion in the moment of the shot. I love that feeling that you’re peering through a window that maybe you shouldn’t be. That you’ve caught some interesting precipito
us of an emotive moment. And while I try and capture that as well in my wedding and engagement photography. I can’t make it happen on demand like I can with fashion photography. It’s much more random in wedding or engagement photography. In my fashion photography that’s actually what I’m aiming to achieve, and I look for it, and try and evoke it from the model. It doesn’t always happen, but when it does, it’s a wonderful thing. I think that if you capture some version of an emotive moment then it both sells the clothes, the model, and the image.
These shots were taken of a local agency represented model Luccia, and I couldn’t be happier with how they came out. It’s amazing what happens when you work with a real agency model. They know how to move, how to pose, how to pause. It was fantastic. I only wish it had lasted longer, because I got some truly amazing stuff that I’m extremely proud of. Although none of it would have been possible had I not had an amazing model to work with in Luccia. I hope this is one of many collaborations to come with some of the great agency models around here.
