Portrait Photography in Hudson Valley { Brittany Fashion Shoot }
I have really got to get better about writing up blog posts, but it feels like my time is shrinking with all my editing, and recent fashion work. And for that I’m immensly grateful. Of course I still need to keep on top of my blog, so I’m going to put up a few portfolio sessions that I did recently for you to check out.
The first is Brittany. She was fantastic, great posing, great skin, and a super fun chic. We had a blast working together…. speaking of which we really need to work together again soon. Anyways I hope yall like these shots that I did for Britt’s portfolio.
This is probably one of my favvorite black and white shots I’ve ever taken. I fell i

What me? Not write any blog posts for months? ME?!?! No never. I know it’s been too long, but I’ve just been having fun doing all sorts of crazy things. These shots are from a fashion portfolio shoot I did a while ago, but I wanted to share them. They are some of my favs. Katie is a local model here in Hudson Valley, and a total blast to work with. Super nice, we had a blast creating some great images. I love it when I get to work with people that seem to really “get” it. Ya know?
I can’t express how much fun I’ve been having with my fashion work. It’s so much more creative than my other outlets, and I think it’s really caused me to focus on my techniq

I had such a blast on this shoot. I got to work with a bunch of great girls. Some of my favorite people. Sam Martucci, and Rebecca, both of whom I had worked with before, and which makes working together so much easier. And we were also working with Anna Vinton, who was fun to work with too. Everyone had fun, and we got a ton of great stuff.
I shot a lot of my standard lighting setups, but also worked on some new stuff too. I had a few shots where I shot wide open which was a new thing for me to do in the studio, and I got some sparkly backdrop, and had a blast with shooting stuff that was a bit
Man it’s been a wild ride lately. I’ve been shooting nearly every weekend. Having a blast in my studio. It’s awesome, I can’t tell you how much fun it is to just be able to work on my photography. Not to mention I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing models lately. This here is Kristiana, and she was just a blast to work with. Came with a ton of ideas, great person. It’s so much easier to shoot fashion when you’re working with people who you actually enjoy being around. I hate boring people. I also don’t like feeling like I have to be a dancing bear to keep people entertained. It’s just too much work to shoot and dance. Seriously. Too. much. work.

Well if you guys can’t tell, I’m really into my fashion photography lately. I’ve been putting a ton of effort into both learning and growing as an artist. For those of you who don’t know, when I got into photography this was what I aspired to do. And while it probably won’t ever pay the bills, it will remain to be a part of my artistic being. I can’t tell you how giddy and excited I get by this style of portrait work.
I say portrait work because to me, I’m so interested in capturing an emotion in the moment of the shot. I love that feeling that you’re peering through a window that maybe you shouldn’t be. That you’ve caught some interesting precipito
