I’ve been really having a lot of fun with my work lately. I’ve been super busy, and it feels like I’m more booked than I’ve ever been. I’ll tell you my savings account isn’t exactly complaining. Now I could live comfortably until I died, as long as I died like next Thursday or so. I’ve also been spending a lot of time working on my house. I feel like I haven’t really had a chance to do any work on my house for a while. Lots of little stuff, nothing big, but I’m hoping to have a woodworker replace a lot of

These are shots that I did with a new local Real Estate Agent. Larry was a great guy to work with, and I think we came away with some really strong shots. He wanted something that showed a bit of character and personality, while at the same time remaining professional. We went with one look in the studio, and one look outdoors. I shot the outdoor stuff at one of my favorite locations for headshots over by the taxi building. I swear I find something new over there every time I go out there. Th

So for the last few months I’ve been working on building a new website. I liked my old one, but there were a few problems. First off the mobile version and the desktop version were actually 2 different code bases, so if I wanted to update one, I had to update it in 2 places. That totally sucked, and even got me in trouble once. When I moved my studio from downtown Hudson Valley, to a bit further out, I forgot to update the mobile version of my website. This resulted in a client showing up to the wrong studio space. Another problem, was that while it was good for SEO to have all my portfolio’s seperated by the general category, I felt like it was too much work

So lately things have been so busy around our house. We had a great trip to new orleans. It was so awesome. The last time that I can remember that I was there was for the combined birthday between me and my granddad. We are actually both born on the same day. A few years apart, but the same day. So we had my 16th and his 50th on the same day. That was such a fun experience. I have always appreciated us having the same birthday. For some reason we’ve always managed to have a blast celebrating together. When I was younger I used to always make everyone granddad and grandma included go to a hibachi grill restaurant, and seeing old pictures of my granddad with those
Amber came in wanting to do some more fashion style shots. She had always wanted to be a model, and wanted to make a real run at it. I knew when she came in she had a gorgeous face, and I was excited to get some great shots. She also had a ton of personality, so I knew we would get some shots with some character in them.
We started out in the back and got some natural light shots. I haven’t had a chance to edit any of those ones yet. After that we moved on to do a bunch of studio looks. I’m excited to see how those ones turn out as well after a bit of editing, but in the mean time I really wanted to work up this one shot.
I sure ha
