I sure did have some fun this last weekend.  I went on a food shoot out.  Cooking and shooting.  I was surprised to find out how hard that actually is.  It takes time and patience to shoot food, it takes those same two things to cook it.  So shooting and cooking is quite a challenge.  My hat goes off to all you food bloggers out there.  I’m not sure how you do it all the time.  I would get annoyed and bored a bit to quickly and easily.  Alhtough I guess I didn’t just have one dish to shoot, I cooked up 3 dishes, and photographed all 3 of them.  which was certainly quite a challenge.

Well it’s certainly be a while since I’ve written anything on my blog.  I’ve been really busy lately.  Everyone has finally gotten back into town and settled after the holidays, and now I’m slammed with portrait sessions.  I got a little bit of time to do some food photography last weekend, and now this weekend it was just going to be an engagement photography session, but that was canceled due to the wicked wind.  I honestly don’t understand how people live in Kansas.  It’s so windy all the darn time.  I couldn’t do it.  For some reason the wind really makes me mad.  I just generally grumpy when it’s windy like that.

You know what doesn’t make me grumpy?  Margaritas and Santa

Well at this point I would say that I’m just learning so much from shooting food.  It’s weird how complex it is, and how complicated it is to get a good looking appetizing shot.  Go on try it yourself.  You’ll see how hard it can be.  I know all of us portrait photographers thing that shooting something so static would be easy.  But it’s not.  So far the hardest thing is getting the li

Well it’s been a little bit since I’ve done a writeup for an engagement shoot.  I’ve just been so busy with work, and other stuff.  If you hadn’t noticed I’ve been trying to do a bit of food photography.  I think there is one other couple that I never did a blog writeup for,… I should really get on that.  Everyone say hey to Melanie and Josh.  I’m so happy I got a chance to work with this couple.  Man were they fun.  I had such a blast working
